SAF Convetion에 참여할 수 있는 Gregory Award Scholarship 공지

Gregory Award는 미국 및 캐나다가 아닌 다른 지역의 산림분야에 대한 튀어난 학생 및 전문직종에 종사하는 자에게 컨퍼런스와 북미의 수목관리시스템의 참여 등 의미있는 행사에 경제적인 지원을 하는 프로그램입니다.

기준

1. 캐나다와 미국이 아닌 곳에서 산림분야 전공자, 전문직종에 종사하는 자.

2. 자국의 산림교육분야, 정부기관 및 산업에 기여할 만한 활동을 진행한 혹은 진행하기를 희망하는 자

3. 미래 임학분야의 잠재적인 리더십을 보여줄 수 있는 자

4. 지원자는 2014년 4월 1일까지 인터넷 혹은 서면 접수를 완료해야 합니다.

As in other years the Society of American Foresters (SAF) Committee on World Forestry is pleased to announce the Gregory Award scholarship to attend the annual SAF convention This award seeks to provide economic assistance to outstanding students or professionals from outside of the US and Canada to attend the annual conference and have meaningful engagement with foresters in North America. The 2014 SAF convention will be held in conjunction with the 2014 IUFRO World Congress, making this an even more exciting year to participate.

Award Criteria:

1. Applicants should be graduate students or practicing professional foresters from a country other than Canada or the US, and working or planning to work in such a country.

2. Applicants shall have demonstrable past performance, desire and/or promise to contribute to their home or host country’s forestry education, government or industry.

3. Applicants shall have demonstrated potential for future leadership in forestry.

4. Applications must be received electronically (preferred) or in hard copy on or before 23:59 EDT (US)April 1, 2014
